From Talk to Reality: Free, In-House Business Briefings
Are you keen to spark change in your organisation by starting a conversation with your Board, managers and/or employees about the huge business benefits of an inclusive workforce? Or perhaps you’re keen to boost your in-house Diversity and Inclusion programmes?
TDN’s free in-house business briefings, which can be tailored to suit a range of audiences, may be just the ticket to help you take your D&I aims from Talk to Reality...
This series of 6 two-hour workshops for all employees aims to raise awareness of stress and the impact on performance and mental health, if left untreated. It covers the benefits of developing a resilient mindset and provides a toolkit of practical, powerful coping techniques. These are easy to use on a day to day basis to monitor and manage stress thus developing our resilience to challenge and change.
Building Resilience Together
The modern day workplace can feel like a battlefield at times. Many organisations are merging or consolidating their businesses and most are challenging employees to adapt to new ways of working. High work volumes and fast-changing business processes are commonplace. As a result many organisations are reporting higher levels of absence, with stress being one of the top reasons, particularly in cases of long term absence. Locally, improving mental health and treating mental illness are two of our biggest health care challenges in Jersey.
Course dates for the next programme (all workshops will run from 8.30am to 1pm):
- Thursday 16th January 2020
- Thursday 13th February 2020
- Thursday 12th March 2020
A one to one coaching session will be arranged at your convenience prior to 16th January.
Please contact us for further information and to book a place on Her Talent.
Cost: £495. In the interests of enabling greater gender diversity in Jersey we are delighted to offer a free place to a female politician or voluntary sector worker on each of our Her Talent programmes.
Her Talent - A Personal Development Programme for Working Women
TDN are proud to launch our unique programme to support working women of all backgrounds with career development and wellbeing.
In our fast-changing and increasingly uncertain business landscape, the most successful businesses will be those with a greater diversity of talent at all levels. However, there is much evidence to demonstrate that women face specific barriers and challenges in terms of both career progression and managing the balance between work and domestic responsibilities, that most of their male colleagues do not.
1:1 coaching to identify your goals for the programme
3 half days workshops over 3 months:
- Qualities of being a woman & career development (Self assessment, Confidence & Developing Your Potential, Identifying Priorities & Removing Barriers)
- Developing a sense of self (Knowing Your Strengths, Developing Your Brand, Networking)
- Managing your performance (Improving your Health & Wellbeing, Work/Life Balance, Making it Happen)
Developing a personal development plan and an ongoing, supportive network to take you beyond the programme.
"If you exclude 50% of the talent pool it's no wonder you find yourself in a war for talent." (Teresa Whitmarsh)
Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
Why are diversity, inclusion and belonging at work so important?
In the last two decades our workplaces have drastically changed. They have become more global, changeable and in many ways, more diverse. New generations bring high expectations and organisations are constantly looking for new ways to develop, engage and retain key talent. Whilst managing people in this context can be challenging, it also represents an opportunity. Those organisations who can build a diverse workforce and leverage its differences stand to harness employee skills and engagement and increase customer satisfaction.
TDN's innovative programme can be tailored to support any organisation wherever it is on its journey to a diverse and inclusive culture.
Four half day workshops over 3 months:
1. Awareness and Understanding D&I - the 'what' and'why'.
2. Exploring unconscious bias and frames of reference.
3.Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging in action, the 'how' and 'when'
4. Creating strategies for change.
"Ideas from women, people of colour, LGBTs, and Gen-Ys are less likely to win the endorsement they need to go forward because 56% of leaders don't value ideas they don't personally see a need for."
